How to download Instagram highlights

Highlights are stories the owner pinned to their profile. They stay until the owner removes them. IG Story Viewer lists each ring, then the items inside, so you can save one file at a time.

Open the highlights viewer

Steps

Open Highlights. Use the Highlights tool and enter a public username.
Choose a ring. Tap the collection you want. That loads the items inside it.
Download originals. Save each photo or video as JPG or MP4. There is no full-album zip.

Why one file at a time

A zip of an entire highlight would mean assembling other people’s libraries on our servers. Item-by-item downloads keep media on Instagram’s side until you ask for a file.

Stories vs highlights

Live stories vanish in a day. Highlights are the saved version. If Stories is empty, this is the next place to look.
